Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks 2015

The mother of all 4th July displays is out doing herself yet again. This year Macy's will treat crowds to 60,000 shells of vibrant colour on the East River, across 5 barges. Alongside the displays you'll be hearing the West Point Band and Glee Club in synchrony. It will begin around 9pm and last up to 30 minutes. There will be viewing points in 34th Street and FDR Drive, 23rd Street and FDR Drive in Kips Bay, Avenue C and 18th Street and more. We recommend avoiding official viewing points to beat the big crowds.

Skip the crowds and find a quieter slice of the city at Grand Ferry Park. With its Williamsburg location, it’s far from the action and dense activity but compensates with personal space and leg room.
